Fog in the Morning

When I get out of bed in the morning, I always walk into the front bedroom and look out at the street, and then look at the side yard.  It was foggy this morning and I thought I saw some possibilities out both the north window and the east window.  This is the east window, looking toward the rising sun, and I loved how the fog gave depth to the photograph because the fog separates the pine tree from the closer trees.  Not a great shot, but a little bit interesting, and atmospheric I think.

  1. This seems so unusual that the fog is between the trees and the pine tree seem so far away, rather than all the trees being surrounded in fog I will need to be much more observant on the next foggy day.

  2. I looked up poems about fog and I decided on this first stanza from “Misty Morning” written by Mary Etta Mietcalf.
    “In the early dawn’s hush,
Fog descends with a gentle brush.
Veiling the world in a silent shroud,
    Nature’s whisper, not too loud.”
I really like the photo. Very unusual to have the background tree look surreal.

  3. I love the touch of the early morning sunlight in the fog and the deep green color of the trees. It is definitely a photo for poets. Trace
