Sunset at Trader Joe's

Late in the day we drove down to Costco to get some things, like two 40 pound bags of cat litter and some Clorox, and a jar of cinnamon, Tylenol, a bottle of vanilla, and a bag of seasoned pretzels!  Then it was off to Trader Joe's for some butter, frozen blueberries, two 1 pound chocolate bars, and a bag of dark chocolate orange sticks.  As I got out of the car I saw this scene and couldn't quite tell if it was a photograph or not, but the brilliant orange light from the setting sun on the buildings against the clear blue sky seemed worthwhile so I used my iPhone to grab a few exposures.  I really like this for some reason.  How about that, a photographer who doesn't have a clue about what he shoots! Perhaps this is just about the colors.

  1. Beautiful sunset colors against the blue sky that is so clear. Now I need to check my cupboard to see if I have chocolate orange sticks as they are the best. :-)

  2. I can't decide if today's blog post is about the Colors in the photo or the Shopping Lists. I get going to Costco for kitty litter. I also get going to Trader Joe's for blueberries (although, why frozen berries - ours are eaten in less than a week). As for pretzels and chocolate all I can think of is more time needed on the treadmill. What is really striking to me is the apparent lack of commotion at TJ's - our local store is a mob scene at all hours of the day.

  3. I thought your grocery list was interesting. Especially the items at Trader Joe’s like the 1 pound chocolate bars!! Yikes! Last time I tried to buy the orange sticks, the Glastonbury store didn’t have them. Sob!
I do like the saffron color of the building against the blue sky.
