It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

The Blue Period
I remember years ago hearing that there was a French term for a time near the last light of day, called (in english) "The Blue Period." I have experienced that all my life - if you are indoors with the lights on, you look out a window, and it is blue outside. Today when I photographed this sky before a thunderstorm arrived, the sky appeared gray to my eyes, and yet was a beautiful blue in this camera image.
