It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Fourth of July
We went to our friend's house for dinner tonight with a group of their friends, and they have this great view of the harbor from their balcony. Which is good, because there were fireworks launched from a barge in the harbor. Last year I did a close up view of the fireworks themselves, so this year I had to do something completely different. Just because... So here it is - Dan was leaning on the railing in a relaxed way, and maybe a perfect foreground for this wide-angle view. Fortunately, they didn't wait until dark to shoot them, or I wouldn't have a silhouette in the foreground. Click on this for better color, please.
