It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Cumulus
Not sure why I am so taken with clouds lately. I guess it is because the clouds are so beautiful. The cause is a warm air mass with plenty of moisture. Warm air rises to higher altitudes where the temperature is cooler, and as it does, the rising air reaches the dew point and the clouds form. Now usually, there is so much haze and air pollution around, that we never really see the beauty of the clouds because we are looking through all the "junk" in the air. For some reason, the air is clear, and we can see the cumulus clouds in all their beauty.
