It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Thunderstorm!
Wow, a thunderstorm blew through here late this afternoon, and it was unreal! The wind gusts in the "gust front" that proceeded it felt as if they were 70 or 80 MPH! A couple of branches came down in the street, and I heard cracking everywhere. The wind blew entire magazines off the porch! I don't remember any winds that strong, ever! Then the rains came. It was beautiful. And the lawn needs the rain, can you tell? I did several kinds of pictures during the time it was raining, and then chose this more impressionistic one. Please click on this to see more detail in the rain, in a larger image.
