It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

L.A. Night Life
We went out to a bar tonight to see an L. A. girl band perform, and they were fantastic! Liz and Amy have friends in the band, and that's why we went. The band is Luca, and they are a "cover" band - they do other's songs for the most part. They are all great musicians, and they seem to be having a lot of fun while performing. What seems a bit unusual is that they have a violinist as part of the band, and that adds a whole other feeling to their music. Here the violinist performs the Charlie Daniel's Band hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." Wow, it was astounding! By the way, this is a straight photograph - no manipulation. The unusual coloration of the photo is the result of both stage lighting, and the over-saturated colors that result from the colored gels.
