It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Cool Water on a Hot Day
It was raining most of the day today, which reminded me of this photograph, which I took last week in the extreme heat. I noticed this, because I was in charge of watering the plants. I had just finished my watering chores, and then I happened to look closely at this Schefflera on the front porch steps. Something about water drops on leaves and blossoms that begs me to photograph them. What I liked about this was that the sunlight was somewhat spotty - the light is not even over all of the plant, and I think it adds interest to the photograph.
Every leaf so perfect... . Cool and refreshing, days Sam, for whom temperatures may plummet tonight to the mid-eighties under humid skies trying to hide a slim crescent moon.
