It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Stilts
We had the annual Spencer family July 4th celebration and picnic on Sunday, at Joan's in Connecticut. We had so much fun. There was great food, astounding desserts, and all kinds of activities - from organized games, to jumping through a sprinkler on the lawn. And someone got out these stilts. I haven't been on stilts for years. As a kid, it was so easy for me to get up on them and walk around. Yesterday it took forever to get up and balanced. Everyone wanted to try these, and Liz was able to get up fairly easily on them and walk around. See how much fun she is having?
Looks like fun. Are these homemade?
ReplyDeleteMy brother-in-law made them for me for a Christmas present 25 years ago. Figured it would be fun to bring them along for the family picnic. Lots of up & downs and lots of laughter - totally worth it :-)bsk
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea - and a lasting gift of laughter. Doesn't get better than that. Thanks for the information.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun...I too remember having some as a kid....brings back great memories! Thanks for sharing!
