I photographed these Garlic chives back in September but the lighting was different. Here they are backlit by the morning sun in the side yard, so we only see their silhouettes. It seems unusual to me that I can see plants in silhouette - usually plants are layered so that they are seen against other plants in the garden. I guess that's why this view jumped out at me - because I could see through them.
