I have dramatic news from the Jack-O-Lantern front! For openers, I always make the same face each year on the pumpkin. But this year is different - you will note a jagged smile now replaces the curved mouth of other years. Then, after I put it on the front porch, I got an idea to find one of my quartz lights, and a blue colored gel, and decided to light the porch with it, for a more dramatic effect. Pretty cool, huh? But guess what - we only got 5 children! And that was from one visit - the neighbor next door and her friend. Now who is going to eat all the Snickers bars we bought?

Cute pumpkin. Like the cool blue. I only had @ 2 dozen kids - looks like I'll be snacking on Milky Way and Reese's Peanut Butter. Think I'l throw some in the freezer so I won't eat them all at once :-) bak
Very cool lighting & pumpkin. I only had 10 children - 3 groups.
I already ate a lot of the candy!

THESE ARE DELICIOUS! (recipe from cooks.com)
Cookie made with SNICKERS® Brand Bars.
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 (16 oz.) pkg. SNICKERS® bars, miniature size
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
2 eggs, beaten
Cream together sugar, brown sugar, butter and peanut butter. Add vanilla extract and eggs; mix. Add dry ingredients. Cut candy bars in fourths. Wrap dough around each piece forming a ball.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350°F for 12-18 minutes or until golden brown.
love the picture!
We only had 4 kids. We have Almond Joy to trade (we get that because we don't like it and so we don't eat it)
You both did better than we did. We were ready too. Cut out the pumpkin. Had the candle in place making it so welcoming. Front porch lights on with a basket of assorted candies eagerly awaiting little hands to grab them up. How many came? ZERO
