Clear cold air moved in after the last of the snows in Rochester. When we left Jessica's house late in the day it was brisk and impossibly clear. And there in the west was brilliant Venus blazing in the sky. Just above it was a random contrail completing the spectacle. What made it perfect was enough light left to illuminate the scene, and the warmth of outdoor lights on so many of the homes. Please click on this to see it in more detail, and to see Venus better.
