Kathy has been baking up a storm in the last day or so. That's because we have company coming in the next month or so, and so we need to have goodies for them to eat while they are here. And of course we both have a sweet tooth, so the smaller pies are for us, like right NOW! What we have here is a large blueberry pie, and a large strawberry rhubarb pie for guests and then we have smaller versions of those pies for us, in addition to two blueberry tarts for us. You know "two for us, and one for the company..." I couldn't resist titling this "Pie Town" because I was actually in Pie Town, New Mexico last February. And now pie town is right here in Sea Cliff. Don't these look good? They are delicious!
They look wonderful and Kathy is the best pie maker - so delicious! I look forward to being company :-)

I love pies but how do you keep them for an extended period of time? Do you freeze them and if so, don't they come out soggy when defrosted? So envious. Going to the bakery NOW to pick up a nice fruit pie to satisfy my picture-induced craving! (It's not fair to post if you can't share!)
ReplyDeleteKathy has frozen the two large pies. We will take one out for the first group of guests the morning that they arrive, and it will be at room temperature in time for dessert in the evening! Yum! Sorry I can't send you a piece via email...
ReplyDeleteKathy bakes the most delicious pies! I don't have a favorite because they are all yummy! Have never made a tart but they look like the perfect size. If Kathy ever changes her profession, she could always bake pies...Oh, unless of course, Ken eats them all!!! bsk
