I arrived in Manhattan late in the day yesterday, because I wasn't there to visit a museum as I usually do. I did go over to a gallery to see two small exhibitions of photographs. I came out of the underground at 5th avenue and Central Park South at twilight. As I looked up, as I always do, I was taken by the lovely soft light and all the illuminated windows in these buildings. And this particular frame has a flock of birds as well. The building in the center of the photograph used to be the General Motors building. The tall thin building to the right is called 432 Park Avenue, and at 1,396 feet is the tallest residential tower in the western hemisphere.
Beautiful!
