This is a serious icicle! I don't ever remember an icicle outside the dining window like this. I am not sure where it came from. Maybe the rain gutter up on the second floor was overflowing or something. In any case, I love the sense of gloom in this photograph - everything is a shade of gray and the icicle looks evil.
AAhh - we need the "kids" to write the murder mystery scenario with the icicle as the dagger weapon!! :-) betsey
ReplyDeleteI just laughed at Betsey's comment and thought of the mystery and poisoning of Mom on the deck of Seaside Avenue after a July 4th picnic! I can imagine their great scenario. :-) That is one dangerous icicle.

While you sisters are laughing at the thought of a melting murder weapon, I'm thinking this is a very bleak winter scene that is so cold and nasty looking that even the poor yellow-handled snow-shovel looks forlorn. But kudos for taking a picture that perfectly captures the gloom of snow on ice on a very gray winter day!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments. Yeah, we had fun making those murder movies! What a strange family... :-) Primo: Thank you for your comments on how bleak this all looks - you hit the nail on the head. It is kind of creepy in it's bleakness.
