The Last Colors of Fall

This drone photograph was taken late in the day.  Most of the leaves are gone from the Japanese maple tree and are on the ground.  Because it was late in the day, the daylight is bluish in color as you can see from the color of the street.  We can also see the bluish green lichen on some of the branches.  But even in blue light, the brilliance of the yellow leaves still shows through.  I am constantly amazed at how beautiful nature is in its cycle of life.
