The architecture at the Getty Center is so amazing - wonderful things going on everywhere. When I came out of the cafeteria at the north end of the complex, I saw all these shadows on the floor and walls and the supports, from the open lattice overhead. I had never seen this before and I thought it was amazing! Trust me, these shadows are not formed by accident! I called this "Barber Poles" because I remember the red, white and blue curved stripes on poles outside barber shops, in my youth, and these curved shadows remineded me of that.

I love all the striped lines from the “barber” poles to the floor. Design is everywhere. Betsey
Very cool photo with all of the stripes and lines in the foreground and beautiful white building and blue skies behind
