On Saturday we drove to New Haven, CT for a luncheon of my sisters and I and some of our cousins who we haven't seen in years. It was a nice restaurant on the shoreline of New Haven Harbor. So before we went in, I took a look around and spotted these pilings. I am not sure why they are there, perhaps at one time there were docks here. In any case what I saw were that on top of almost every piling, there was a single bird, resting. I know it is subtle, but I thought it worth a photograph. So this was a bonus, a blot post and a lovely lunch with family! Please click on the photo to see the birds more clearly.

Nice photo of the harbor. The birds have a great place to rest. Sounds like a nice family day. Trace
I noticed several birds perched on pilings when we were seated for lunch. It was nice to see some of our cousins. Betsey
