Zig Zag

Tuesday with Dunkin' at the beach.  I happened to notice the pattern of the drift fences because of all the snow on the ground..  I saw it as a zig-zag pagtern as the fences went back and forth.  So I thought I would do an abstract photograph of just the fences.  This is that shot.

But then I backed off just a bit, to photograph the whole scene.  I think I like this better.  It feels less confined, and also that there is more information about the place.  I love seeing the huge crane on a barge way off in the distance.  But you tell me, which do you find more interesting?

The larger scene to me is more interesting, more to look at and more detail. It's great that you and Aunt Kate continue your Tuesday Dunkin Days! Trace

I agree, the larger scene has a lot more going on. I hope you enjoyed your coffee and tea in the car as it has ben so cold. Joan

I prefer the first photo because of the zig zag pattern. It’s all about the fences. Betsey

Thank you all for your comments. It is funny how, getting out of the car, I thought I would make a photograph about design. And I ended up liking th wider angle view. It's funny, but I find you never know what you are going to find. I try to keep my options open.
