I went down to the beach late this afternoon, to see if I could find an interesting photo in the rain. Man, it was cold! So I looked around and the only thing I could find was this bit of archaeology. Apparently years and years ago there must have been a bulkhead here, which has since rotted away. The level of sand on the beach was way down, exposing this. Usually it is much higher - I don't ever remember seeing this before. When the prevailing winds change, I am sure that this will once again disappear beneath the sand.
It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer
