It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Magic Ball
The magic ball in the side yard... It is a soap bubble, of course. Liz and Sonia and Wendy were playing with one of those soap bubble wand things using special soapy water, and that you then swing through the air to make a string of bubbles. It was really difficult to photograph what was going with everyone running in circles, and then jumping up to try and break the bubbles. I was torn between shooting people and bubbles, and just the bubbles alone. This shot of a single bubble is better than the shots of people and bubbles together. If you enlarge it, you can see two images of the house reflected in it.
Wow, how cool - one of your best !!!
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable photo - very cool! I would never think of trying to take a photo of a bubble! I love it.

Very nice! The reflection looks like a painting. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful!! Cannot believe you captured the reflection of the house. Very cool! bsk
ReplyDeleteThank you, all! I wouldn't have "thought" about photographing a bubble either. What happened is that I SAW it, and then something registered with me that it was interesting, and unusual, and unexpected, and I went for it.
ReplyDeleteYou have set the bar very high for future posts. Fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteKen this is amazing! You captured such a strange and beautiful subject in such a way that instills a real sense of wonder in the viewer. Or maybe i just like bubbles too much. Either way, you truly are a gifted man.
ReplyDeleteenough praise already, we don't want Ken to rest on his laurels.....
ReplyDeleteWow -- it's Magic!!
