It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

Moonbounce
So for the graduation party, they rented a "Moonbounce" thing. It is an inflatable room that kids and adults can walk on, and then there are walls that are inflated as well. You climb into it, then close the netting, then throw yourself at a wall, bounce off, and land on the inflatable floor. Loads of fun, right? The kids came up with a better idea: They all stood against one wall, and had Kiera (lying on the floor) stand with them. Then everyone but her ran across the room, smashed into the opposite wall bending it outwards, and the whole room tilted, and the air pressure in the wall they just left, launched Kiera into low Earth orbit! Obviously it was fun, can you tell? I shot a billion images and got only two possibilities, and this is the best.
This is also a great picture. I got a chuckle about this because I think a few of my inlaws were thinking you were going over to tell the kids to be careful on the moon bounce but those of us who knew you figured this "trying to launch Keera" experiment peeked your curiosity and that you were actually going to find a photograph from it. The kids had a ball on the moon bounce and you were able to capture this. Trace
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the nice comments, Trace. Funny that YOU knew I was going over there, not for their safety, but for a photo. Photographers! They live in their own little world! :-)
