It may be work, it may be play, it may be near, it may be away. So here is the challenge - to shoot and post one photograph a day on this site. These photographs are a kind of diary of things I find interesting. I am also thinking that there will be days when I am unable to shoot, so on those infrequent occasions, I will post a photograph done on another day, but one that still feels important to me. - Ken Spencer

The End of the World as We Know It
Another line of thunderstorms came through here early this evening. It got so dark that I began to think that the sun had set earlier than normal. Then I went outside and looked up to see these roiling clouds overhead. The clouds in a squall line are always stunning - there is so much energy there, and I love all the incredible shades of gray. Thunderstorms are such incredibly powerful "engines." I never tire of watching them develop and then release their energy. I just don't want to every fly through one!
