I love this statue in the garden - I think I was the one who bought her. During growing season, sometimes she gets completely lost in the flowers, but now that fall is here, she reappears. It is hard to put into words why I like her expression so. I do know that there are a lot of statues that are reproductions of larger statues, and the reproductions are not very artful or pretty, but this statue is just lovely in my eyes. And I love that she is emerging from the fading colors around her.
The sweetest thing about this picture is how you feel about the angel. She's been with you for years and you still enjoy her. Wish we could say that about all the things we acquire over the years. Sometimes, when I go to my storage area, I rediscover something I once adored, but put away to save space, or maybe the decor changed. Then when I find it again, I remember how much I enjoyed having it around. It brings back memories of when I acquired it and how happy it made me feel to own it. These pieces are like old friends, and it feels good to see them one more time.
