Take a Seat, Any Seat...

Kathy and I went to the movies tonight.  Since the theater is so busy on the weekends, we have taken to going on weeknights.  We went to see "The Darkest Hour" which is a very powerful film, about Winston Churchill when the British Empire stood alone against Nazi Germany and the Axis Powers in Europe.  Anyhow, we wanted to get to the theater early so we could get good seats - on centerline and about 7 rows back.  No need to worry, on a Monday night.  There was one other person in the theater by the time the movie started!

We have also changed our movie going routine and have basically given up trying to go on Fridays and Saturdays. I will say, however, that there are times when we enjoy a packed house and with the audience really getting into the show. Darkest Hour was very well done with a great performance by Gary Oldman; but we thought the movie was just a bit too long. More recently, we saw Three Billboards, which left the viewers wondering how the story would ultimately end. As for seating, we never depart from being about one third back from the screen and off to either the extreme left or right side. The story on our seating preference is for another day!

I cannot watch a trapezoid! Centerline, or bust!
