We were sitting in the car having our coffee and donut and I looked out the car windsheild and saw this way off in the distance. I am not sure what this is, but it was looking at a familiar scene in a different way. This is about layers, foreground (the drift fence) and middle ground (the rocks) and background (Sands Point). Maybe it is more of an intellectual exercise, but I have never seen this view before. I won't be making. a large print and hanging it in the back room! Please click on it to see it larger and see if it is more interesting with more detail.

There is a calmness to the water, the sand and houses on the other side. Kind of a sleepy feel. It looks like they have a nice small beach on the other side. Trace
I hadn't thought about the calmness aspect - you are absolutely right about that part of it. Accorss the harbor is Sands Point, and that is definitely an upscale village. Imagine walking down your yard and then you come to your own beach on the harbor! Not too shabby...
The layers work so well since the fence is so close, then sand and rocks, water then land in the distance. A lot to look at.
