I love airplanes for so many reasons. Today I think of them as magic carpets that can take us anywhere. And while taking us places we can see beautiful things. We flew back from Los Angeles two days after Christmas, on the 27th. This is a view of the Pacific Ocean climbing out from Los Angeles International Airport. We take off and head west, climbing, and then turn back to the east to head for New York
About twenty minutes later, we were over the desert in California. What a change in the landscape!
About four hours after that, the sun is setting as we speed eastward. I looked up to see the golden light on the aircraft window, with the blue sky and clouds in the distance. A lovely color contrast. We arrived home on time after a wonderful flight on our magic carpet, an Airbus 321!
