Pretending to be Creative

So it's the night before Halloween, and it is time for my annual pumpkin carving and my annual photograph of the pumpkin for the blog. So what am I going to do this year, to make the pumpkin photo different from other years? I know! I will pretend to be creative and photograph the pumpkin with a zoom lens, and make a long exposure, AND.. I will zoom the lens during the exposure. You might think that this is being creative, but it's not. I remember when the first zoom lenses came out, back in the late 1960's I think. The first thing photographers did, was exactly this - they zoomed the lens during an exposure. But at least this image is is different from last year's Jack-O-Lantern.
