We went to the vets today, and picked up Grace, and another kitten which we have named Sam. When Grace went to New Jersey to be nursed by a mother cat, The mother cat also was nursing Sam. We decided that because these two kittens have spent so much time growing up together, that it would be better for both of the kittens, and better for BeBe, our older cat, because that might mean that Grace would make our 14 year old cat nuts, trying to play with her, if she was the only kitten in the house.
So we decided to adopt Sam and they are wonderful together. And is Sam adorable or what! The first photograph is the two kittens in their carrier in the car on the way home. The second is them in the room they will be living in, separate from Bebe, until the kittens and Bebe get to know each other.

Congratulations on your new family extension! So are Grace's mom and other sibs still around? You might eventually try the crate method of acclimating your new kittens. We've used it with both FIV+ cats, as well as with healthy kittens, and every time seemed to work well, but we've always had more than a half dozen cats, so another one at a time wasn't an issue. Hopefully your established adult will tolerate the new ones!

Grace and Sam look so sweet. I am happy that you agreed to keep them together even though they are not related. Did the siblings of Grace disappear?

OH! Too cute! Good for you - giving two kitties a home. Both are adorable. Congratulations to all of you!
The mother of Grace and four other kittens still shows up every 3 or 4 or 5 days, with two kittens in tow, to eat. Then she disappears. We have a Have a Heart trap on the porch, but the kittens are the first ones to run into it. We don't want to capture the kittens, because that will spook the mother for sure. So, yes, we still see them, and her two kittens are really cute as well.
