Everything is moving right along. While I was away in Vermont, the mason returned and built the steps and stoop, covered in bluestone. A crew came in and almost completely shingled the whole addition! The shingles will be painted white, to match the house. There are things going on inside as well, but I will save that for another post.

Looking good! The architect & builder have done a great job of tying in the new addition to the old structure. I love the look of natural shingles with white trim but I do realize that the shingle must be painted white to match. And the new blue stone covered stoop is first class!
Now it looks bigger than I thought it would be. Looks great! So glad that you're posting so we can see the progress. bsk
Can you post a drawing of the floor plan showing the new room, new bathroom, old back room and kitchen?
This looks wonderful. Such an inviting entrance to your new space.
