The Getty Center is such an astounding place for a bunch of reasons. One of the reasons is, of course, the architecture. I can always find new photographs here. I have said this before, but when I am in the galleries, I start thinking "I need to go outside and look around a bit." The first photograph shows that the Getty has one of the best views of Los Angeles! Sometimes it feels as if there it too much marble, but in the second photograph, you can see that this view of the plaza is softened by trees. And then I can also look for abstractions, like these curved railings with people enjoying the view.

I don't think you have ever shown the view of Los Angeles from The Getty. It is wonderful! The place looks massive!!! Like the outside circular staircases. bsk
Betsey: It is a HUGE museum! And it is so amazing to wander around the plazas in and around all the different buildings all containing an amazing number of galleries. There are other great views in different directions! No wonder I keep coming here every time we go to California!
