At some time during every visit to California, we take a stroll on the Venice Beach Boardwalk to do some people watching. On this trip we went right to the Venice Skatepark. It is an astounding place to watch skateboarders. Some of the best skateboarders in the business work out here. I just read an article that it took 20 years to lobby the city in order to get this build. It opened in 2009. The park was jammed with spectators standing behind a protective rail.
And here is one of the skaters on the wall of "the pool." We must have watched all the skaters for nearly an hour.
