I had a spectacular night observing the stars in Orient. This location is a boat launch ramp in the middle of nowhere and is perfect for observing if you don't mind being all alone in the middle of nowhere at one o'clock in the morning! Some of you will remember the catboat in the lower left corner of this photograph. It was featured in a post the last time I was out here. The boat is still moored there and so I tried to get something differnent, and used a wide angle lens to capture this scene. Pretty peaceful, this scent is, and it was so quiet last night, away from all the noise of the rest of the island. Good for the soul this observing the stars. The original Orient Point night scene of this Cat Boat photo is my all time favorite from all your blog photos.
Isn’t it wonderful that you still have a place to photograph the stars. It must take a long time to travel there but obviously, worth it for this view.
