I drove out to Northport yesterday to have lunch with a colleague who I worked with at the newspaper. He was a first rate reporter and such a thoughtful and great guy to work with. When you drive into Northport on this narrow road way up above the harbor, you get a view like this from a few spots. So after our lunch I walked back up the road to an open area which I could photograph from. LOOK at all these boats! Look at all the sailboat masts. Wall to wall boats, literally!
There were so many that I realized the only way to really let people see how many boats there were, was to do multiple still images and then use an application I have to turn them into a panoramna. So here you go. Please click on it and you will be astounded how large it will be so you can see more detail. It will be spectacular! Please click now!

Wonderful photos. That is a lot of boats. Do you know if they have a tender or all own their own row boats or dinghies? Milford Harbor is small but most boats are tied to docks.
Beautiful photos of the boats.
I can almost hear the sound of halyards clanging against all the masts. Your panoramic shot is especially pleasing.
The panoramic shot is fantastic! Betsey
