This is a view as we approached our destination, Chisos campground. It gives you a sense of one of the various types of landscapes in Big Bend National Park. It is a very subtle landscape, seen at a distance.
When viewed closer, the details of the geology of the mountains present themselves as interesting forms. In addition to these "marching rocks" there are the the delicate and subtle colorings of the plant life growing on the smoother, lower parts of these mountains.
