I have never seen a pink cactus before. Ever. And I have spent a fair amount of time photographing deserts and plants. I believe it is a Purple Prickly pear cactus. It is an amazing thing to see while hiking. I passed all kinds of green cacti before seeing one like this. It was such a surprise to see this color in the desert.
