Rose and Fence

In my walking around Sea Cliff I came across these roses growing through a fence.  The sky was overcast and misting rain and there are water drops all over the rose blossom and the leaves.  I think that it adds to the interest.  You will probably have to enlarge the image in order to see those details.

Beautiful. Betsey picked a bouquet of Gertrude Jekyll roses before the rain and gave them to me yesterday. They are so pretty and have a beautiful old rose fragrance.

Just looking at this makes me realize I should take a photo of my Gertrude Jekyll bush before it gets dug up. It is full of blooming roses. betsey

Thank you both for your nice comments! Are these rose Gertrude Jekyll, or did the photograph just remind you of them?

They look like they could be Gertrude Jekyll. Go back and check the fragrance.
