On the home stretch of my bike ride today, I noticed a bright line in the clouds, near the horizon. I decided it was enough to warrant stopping to take a picture. First I shot in color, but then switched to black and white. It was a bit of a struggle, but I decided the monochrome rendition was more interesting. The best part of the whole shot, which I did NOT see at the time, is the curving, knotted branches in the closest tree. I may go back and see if I can do a stronger photo of just that part of the tree.
