Reading in the Dark

We are visiting some of the Connecticut relatives.  Keera wrote a short story about a dog named Snowball, and asked all of us to read it.  It is really well written and very imaginative.  We were also talking all evening, so when it was time for Neil to read the story it was too dark.  So Keera went and got a campers headlamp so that he could read the story in the fading light.  Brilliant idea!  That's Tracy in the background in conversation with others in the group.

Best invention ever. Jon and Jenny bought them a few years ago for camping, etc.

I bought one a couple of years ago for when I lose power. Easier to read with this on my head when walking around. Also comes in handy for checking out my kitchen corner cabinet! bsk

"That old geezer" is my brother in law, and he is a wonderful writer and historian. He worked as a journalist at the New Haven Register for most of his life and has written a number of history books and articles, on history involving Ireland and on some local history of the Irish in Connecticut. He is presently working on another history book. Oh, and he is the one who left the comment "Who the heck is that old geezer?" :-)
