On My Bike Ride Today...

I was out on my bike ride today, and slowly working my way up the hill where that dog bit me a while ago.  I went by a flaming red Japanese Maple, similar to the one on my front lawn.  For some reason I didn't stop right away, but then I caught this view through the tree, and immediately turned around.  I only had my iPhone with me, but that was all I needed.  I did two different views from different parts of the tree, but this one, where I was able to look through the tree is just spectacular.  Best fall color image so far!

Wow, this is nice. Like looking through a tunnel of light. Glad you didn't get bit on this ride.-- Stan

THIS is a keeper. Would LOVE to have this on my wall. The twisting branches, brilliant-colored leaves and streak of warming sunlight - what a great composition! I've been feeling disheartened since last night, afraid of what the future for this country holds, but seeing your bright and wonderful photograph lifted my spirits when I saw it. It's such a strong image and makes me think that maybe there's hope. How could there not be when there are such beautiful images to behold and appreciate? Thank you, Ken.
