I went to a program tonight at the Cradle of Aviation, to hear two astronauts speak. As it turned out, there was only one - Rusty Schweickart - the other one had to leave because of illness. They were the two astronauts from the Apollo 9 mission where the Lunar Module was tested in space for the first time. He is the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the B612 Foundation, a group that aims to defend Earth from asteroid impacts, and he spoke about that part of his work, along with his experiences in space. This child was riveted, listening to him talk.
