A Tiger on the Floor

There's a tiger on the floor of our house!  This is the puzzle that Liz and Sarah and Kathy were working on.  I decided to photograph the finished project.  So I stepped up to the puzzle on the mat board they were using to move the puzzle off the dining room table so we could eat.  Then it hit me - all I wanted was to get a copy photo of the puzzle, but having my feet in the picture before zooming in made it feel like real life, or something.  So I shot this.

Absolutely beautiful puzzle photo. Will it be framed or put back in the box for another challenge?

It is already back in the box! :-( Oh well... It would be tough for them to frame it, then carry it back to Los Angeles!

Where's Ken Spencer, Ace Photojournalist? How big is the puzzle? How many pieces. How long did it take them to put it together? Did they buy it new or was it in the attic? Have you always been a puzzle family? Forgive me if I'm being too demanding about information, but when you talk about astronomy, you give incredible details. Don't skim the surface when talking about family times. Sometimes those are the most important details in life to remember.

Wow, you ask tough questions of a person (that would be me) who has no interest in these kind of puzzles! Everyone else, however, is a puzzle fanatic! Liz and Sarah brought this brand new puzzle with them from California, wrapped in plastic, in a box. The finished puzzle was broken up and put back in the box, and is now back in Los Angeles. The size? Not sure, but I am guessing about 20 by 30 inches. How many pieces? I haven't a clue. it is probably written on the box. They worked on assembling it, off and on, for about 4 or 5 days, when nothing else was happening. I will try to be more diligent in my reporting in the future... :-)

Thanks for the info. I love the details. And yes, anyone who would tote a puzzle from one coast to the other has to be passionate about the hobby. And, by the way,, the puzzle was so colorful and detailed. Beautiful!
