I was sitting talking with Jennie yesterday and the subject of our pets came up. She recently lost her cat Maui that she has had for years. She said that Maui was the best cat ever - a lap cat who was so friendly and always there for her. Having just lost one of our cats, the sense of loss was fresh in my mind. It is a tribute to our pets, how much they come to mean to us over the years.
