Finnegan's Mural

My friends and I had lunch at Finnegan's, a landmark bar and restaurant in Huntington.  They have had this huge mural on the wall of their building for as long as I remember.  It is 15 feet tall and 55 feet long.  It was painted in December, 1978 by a local artist,  Phillip Charles Jordan, and restored in 2012.  The faces in the mural are 140 patrons who were regular customers as they would be seen at the bar.  The concept was to feature all the regulars and employees in a caricature fashion.

It is fascinating to stand and look at all the faces on display.  The mural is an amazing work of art, and it took six months to paint.
