I drove by this downed tree and there was something about the appearance of the tree's cross section that immediately grabbed me. When I pulled over and got the camera, a closer inspection of the scene reminded me of a flower, some how. So rather than photographing just one part of the tree, I included both cross-sections in the picture. They just reminded me of flowers.
