Skyscrapers

Walking back to Penn Station for the trip home, I came to 34th street, and the building between me and the Empire State Building was blindingly brilliant, because it was reflecting the afternoon sun.  I love the contrast of this, and the reflection was so bright that I could under-expose the picture which gives me the brilliant blue sky as well.  I like the feeling that this is just a little bit unreal.

Beautiful contrast and I love that all of the flags are flying.

Oh thanks! I liked this a lot, but thought that it might seem too ordinary. But you have both let me know that it's OK. Thanks!

Ordinary, no way. So many cool things about this photo if you make it bigger and study it. the flags are interesting as is the way the dark buildings form a frame around the vividly blue sky. Could be a shot out of Mad Men.
If this is ordinary, I can't wait to see your spectacular !!

Thanks to Anonymous for the comments. Funny that I would think this was ordinary, so I am glad that others don't think of it that way. I know there was SOMETHING special going on there that attracted me. I will work on finding a "spectacular" soon... :-)
