I went to the Post Office this afternoon, and when I got out of my car, I saw this flag hanging in an automobile repair shop that has been in the village since forever. Something about the late afternoon light, and the fact that it was not evenly illuminating the scene made it far more interesting than if the light was even. I tried cropping out the sky, but the image was more "dead" than with the sky in it. Download the image and try it yourself. It is, of course, better if you click on it, to see more saturated color.
