Photographer at Work
I went to the city today to meet two of my sisters who took the train in from Connecticut, and we met at Grand Central Station. While waiting for their train to arrive, I saw this photographer. It was unusual to see a tripod in use, and she was shooting film, using a Rolliflex camera. I went over to talk to her and found that she was a student at the International Center of Photography working on an assignment. She was doing long exposure portraits as her subjects stood still, and rushing passengers were blurred in the background as they passed by. "Wow, that's a cool idea, I thought. I will have to try that sometime..."
