Japanese Maple Leaves


I went out looking for more photographs with my infrared camera.  I didn't have to go far.  These delicate leaves are on the end of a branch of the Japanese maple tree.  Probably, in reality, these leaves would look pretty much the same if I had shot them with with a normal camera in black and white mode, as opposed to infrared.  The leaves in reality, are a beautiful light green, and the leaves from fall on the dark green ivy on the ground,

infrared photography is such an interesting medium. Used do do some back in the film days. Do you need a special camera to do it with a digital camera?
