Farewell to Arizona

It was good to be away, and it is great to be back home. It's good that I get out every now and then! Boy, there is nothing quite like an Arizona sunset. This one was from the top of Kitt Peak. The air is clear here, and I was at an elevation of 6,500 feet so that makes it even clearer. And the crowning touch is a small crescent moon in the upper left of the photo.

Sam thinks this gorgeous sunset would have been even better with a silhouetted telescope being readied for a night of unraveling the secrets of the glorious heavens.

It would have been better to have a telescope silhouette in the foreground, but I would have to be able to walk off the edge of the cliff to get back far enough to get it all in. I decided not to! :-)
